A Peep Into My Life

I can’t really say I was born into an Aje kpaco family. However, being born in Lagos – moving to the Island has helped my career as an MC, Stand-up Comedian, Skitmaker in no small ways.

My Childhood

For those of you who don’t know, my full name is Aderemi Emmanuel, popularly known as Mc Common Sense, from Ogun state. I was Born in Ajegunle December 29, 1999 into a family of 5: 2 girls & 3 boys.

I wouldn’t say my childhood experience is a terrible one, although my parents are strict disciplinarians. One thing about them is: they only want us to go out if the activity is important. But as a stubborn boy that I was, I would defy their instructions, and as always, get a beating.

Right from my pre-teen days, I have always wanted to be an Entertainer. Although the idea of becoming a Comedian is not one my parents find suitable for me, I still did my best to attend PEFTI Film Institute, acting drama at church, cracking jokes at school.

The Man I Am Becoming

I can confidently say being born and raised in Lagos is such a big advantage for me. It has always provided me with a lot of opportunities to meet with celebrities. It really became a normal lifestyle when I left the mainland for Island in 2020.

Living in the Island has really improved me for the better. For example, life at the mainland is somewhat around just living paycheck to paycheck – you’re simply striving to survive. But here, at the Island, it’s a different game entirely – making my career blossom.

What I do now is trying as much as I can to bring my ‘stand-up comedy lifestyle’ into my ‘skits’, and so far, the result has been impressive.

Everything In Between: Relationship, Bills, Performances

I don’t know if there’s any lady that would say, ‘Mc Common Sense is my serious date o’, but for me, I don’t have any at the moment. You wouldn’t be wrong to say, ‘Common Sense is single to stupor’

There’s the widespread misconception that most entertainers fund their lifestyle through Yahoo – that comedy, music isn’t really bringing them money. That’s a big lie! I make bold to state that they know zilch about the entertainment industry.

On my live performances, I’ve been privileged to appear on many shows, and each time I get the chance to entertainer an audience, I always put in my best – guess what? They’ve always amazed me.

Some years ago, during one of my performances, a fan asked for my account number and sent a whooping sum – I was speechless.

Finally, I want you to know that while many people are of the opinion that am a lucky person, I know in my heart of hearts that I am a very hardworking guy.
