Ayodeji Tobi popularly known as BABBY was born on the 4th of December 2004 in Sango Ota Ogun State, Nigeria.
As the firstborn of the family of 5, after his parents separated he moved with his mom to Osun State.
During his secondary education, Babby realized that he had a musical gift from the time when he was tender. He spent hours freestyling with his friends at school and home after school. Babby fell in love with Afrobeats and chose the genre as his style of music.
He recorded in the studio for the very first time at the age of 11 and later moved back to Ogun State after he dropped out of school.
He started a new life in Sango Ota living with his dad while learning music production and also working in an industrial company.
In 2019 he continued recording and freestyling on social media platforms and went ahead to release a song titled Water No Get Enemy in 2020.
In 2023 he was discovered and signed to SYB Entertainment through his 1-minute freestyle video on his Instagram, and he has described himself as the Afrobeats future.
